Bishop Conway Green was born on May 10, 1901 in Newport News, Virginia. He was the last offspring of 12 children from the late Calvin and Emily Green. Elder Green was formally trained in the public school system of Newport News, Virginia and Baltimore, Maryland respectively.
On December 24th, 1918, Elder C. Green was united in holy matrimony to the former Rose Etter Samuels of Pee Dee, South Carolina. Elder and Sister Green relocated to Baltimore in 1925. It was during this year that Elder Green joined THE CHURCH OF GOD (Gospel Spreading Association) which was founded and pastored by the late Elder Lightfoot Solomon Micheaux. It was in this church where Elder C. Green was saved, baptized, and served as a soloist in the famous Cross Choir.
In the year of 1928, God called Elder C. Green to the gospel ministry. His initial trial sermon was entitled, "Where Art Thou?" where his text was taken from Genesis 3:9. It was during this same year that Elder Green was licensed and ordained.
Dr. Melvin Clifton Green is a native Baltimorean. He was reared and nurtured in a Christian home of love and holiness. He is the son of the late Bishop Conway and Mrs. Rose Etter Green. He is a third generation preacher.
Dr. Green has served as the pastor of the Christian Community Church of God in Baltimore, Maryland since 1995. His beloved father and mother Bishop Conway Green & Mother Rose Etter Green are the Founders along with Deacon Ernest and Mrs. Corrine Ford. Under Dr. Melvin C. Green's anointed leadership, the ecclesia (Body of Christ) has grown spiritually and physically with the implementation and the enhancement of various inreach and outreach ministries.

We're Still Living Our Best Lives in 3D for 2021
*** Living Our Best Lives with 2021 Vision ***
We are a (w)holistic Bible believing Church of God advocating the practices and principles of holiness as a life style. We seek to minister to the whole person: Heart, Mind, Body and Soul.
"And the Lord answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon the tables the he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry" (Habakkuk 2:2-3).

Father God, It can be so easy to forsake or abandon the most important thing in our lives. Sometimes we rush through life appearing to be on top of the world and put together, on the outside, when in reality we are crumbling on the inside. Lord Heavenly Father, I don’t want to live that way. I want to honor Your creation (ME) which You have made so intricately. Where my mind is polluted with the vices of this world, you will bring renewal! When I forget to take care of my body, help me remember that it is the tent that helps me stay grounded in life. And lastly, Lord, remind me of the importance of nurturing my soul, which so desperately needs You to help me recover in those vital areas of life.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
